Success, The Friends (FOBS) have found a new Chair

After a long search a new Chair has been found. Carolyn Clark, a FOBS member for 7/8 years has offered to take up this role.

A light-skinned woman with grey hair sits on a spiral wooden sculpture, looking at the camera. She's wearing a pink blazer and a flowery scarf.

Carolyn retired recently from working for 38 years in the NHS as nurse, midwife and latterly work in Paediatric Clinical Research. From North Yorkshire farming stock originally, she has maintained her link with the land over the years, loving gardens, gardening, nature, biodiversity and just being outside. Carolyn has an allotment and helps on the Allotment Association Committee.

She loves growing vegetables, fruit and has some cut flower beds too. Her main interest over the last 8 years has been bee-keeping; four hives at home and expanding.

Since stepping into the role, Carolyn has been getting to know people and finding out about the amount of work done by committee members and volunteers, as well as all those members who just support FOBS. Carolyn is taking up this role at another exciting stage of the organisation’s development.

The FOBS Executive and members are grateful to the Deputy Chair, Peter Kohn, for fulfilling this role for many months.
