Theatre in the Gardens

Bring low backed seating, picnic, extra clothing and escape to the atmospheric and beautiful setting of Sheffield Botanical Gardens to experience magical tales of intrigue and passion.

Heartbreak Productions have toured nationally for 25 years and are considered one of the ground breakers in outdoor theatre. Their shows shine a light on the classics from a new perspective andĀ their style is ever adaptable and always high quality. Ultimately, they aim to tell stories that inspire, entertain, challenge and help us come to a better understanding of human beings and how we can live together.

The Gardens will be closed an hour before the evening performances for setting up.

Saturday 25th July at 2 pm and 6.30 pm and Sunday 26th July at 5.30 pm – Wonder with Grimm by the Brothers Grimm

The Pantaloons is a young, vibrant theatre company whose style draws from a wide variety of popular theatre traditions from commedia dell’arte and clowning to stand-up comedy and silent movies.

In their theatre, your imagination is just as important as theirs. How can one show with just four actors possibly contain so much action and adventure? Elementary, my dear!

Thursday 13th August at 7.00pm – Sherlock Holmes. The critically-acclaimed Pantaloons Theatre Company put dynamic detective duo Holmes and Watson through their paces as they tackle their most fiendish case yet in this delightfully inventive and hilarious show for all ages featuring live music, audience interaction and more mystery than you can shake a magnifying glass at. Stick that in your pipe and smoke it!

Friday 21 August at 7.00pm – Twelfth Night. Get in a fight. Cross-dress. Throw on some yellow stockings. Love can make you do the funniest thingsā€¦! The Pantaloons Theatre Company present their own brand of open-air Shakespeare mayhem. Family-friendly fun with live music and audience participation!
