Theatre in the Gardens

Bring low backed seating, picnic, extra clothing and escape to the atmospheric and beautiful setting of Sheffield Botanical Gardens to experience magical tales of intrigue and passion.

Heartbreak Productions have toured nationally for 25 years and are considered one of the ground breakers in outdoor theatre. Their shows shine a light on the classics from a new perspective and their style is ever adaptable and always high quality. Ultimately, they aim to tell stories that inspire, entertain, challenge and help us come to a better understanding of human beings and how we can live together.

Shakespeare’s “The Tempest” is on Friday 24th – Sunday 26th June. “Ratburger” is scheduled for Friday 8th – Sunday 10th July. “Importance of Being Earnest” is scheduled on Tuesday 26th July – Thursday 28th. “Murder on the Terrace” is scheduled for Friday 29th July – Sunday 31st July. There are additional matinee performances on Saturdays.

The Pantaloons are a young, vibrant theatre company whose style draws from a wide variety of popular theatre traditions from commedia dell’arte and clowning to stand-up comedy and silent movies.

In their theatre, your imagination is just as important as theirs. The August 2016 productions are “The Canterbury Tales” on Friday 5th August, “Gulliver’s Travels” on Wednesday, 24th August and on Thursday 25th August, “Romeo and Juliet”.
