| Hundreds of keen gardeners queued up the Broadwalk from the fountain, in the hot sunshine, to swap their plants and to meet Monty Don and the team, Joe Swift,
Carol Klein, Rachel de Thame and Sarah Raven. Filming continued throughout the day and the programme was shown on TV BBC 2 at 8.00 pm on the 25th August. |

Kay Keeton, a member of the FOBS executive, was interviewed by Monty Don on the herbaceous border in the Gardens and the team also visited and filmed several private
gardens in the Sheffield area, talking to the owners, including Sue Kohler’s splendid garden at Millhouses. Dr. Kohler MBE is Chairman of FOBS and the Sheffield
Botanical Gardens Trust. |
| Altogether a splendid occasion for the Gardens and thanks are due to the Sheffield City Council, Gardens staff, FOBS volunteers and all who helped to make the event a
success.
