Main Entrance

The Main Entrance and Gatehouse, on Clarkehouse Road, was designed in the Ionic style - by the Sheffield architect, Benjamin Broomhead Taylor. It was built in 1836 and provided a lodge for the gatekeeper. The north-east wing was used as a meeting room for the Botanical Gardens Committee when the Sheffield Town Trust managed the Gardens.

The Main Entrance now includes an integral shop and exhibition area.
